Tyler Karow

Climber

Tyler is a climber, skier, civil engineer, and general contractor living in Truckee, CA. After growing up as an obsessed skier, he transitioned his focus to climbing where time living on the road and being in the mountains shifted his perspective to become more environmentally driven. Tyler splits his time between climbing and working to build minimalistic forms of housing. His climbing accomplishments include a free ascent El Capitan via Golden Gate, a 3 El Cap speed records, summiting all the peaks of the Chaltén (Fitz) Skyline, and numerous other big wall ascents in Alaska, Patagonia, Kyrgyzstan, and Jordan. Tyler is also very interested in the world of regenerative farming and is a board member and the treasurer of Farm to Crag.
