On March 28th, professional snowboarder and POW Alliance Member, Josh Jespersen, took a whirlwind tour of Washington DC where he spoke at The National Press Club and to members of congress at a congressional briefing. Josh highlighted the importance of balancing energy development on our public lands and spoke from the heart about the collective public lands that he fought for as a former Navy SEAL as well as his growing disappointment from witnessing the impacts of climate change first hand.
“We shouldn’t exploit our public lands for energy extraction because not only is it not helpful for the outdoor recreation and public access but it’s also not the direction that we need to go to address climate change. We need to curb green house gas emission and mitigate pollution.”
