Andy Cochrane

As the son of two park rangers, Andy grew up on trails in Michigan, Minnesota, and Alaska, helping him develop an early love of wilderness. After earning an MBA in the Bay Area, he dabbled in tech before crafting his own path as a freelance writer, photographer, and film producer. His work has appeared in NY Times, Guardian, Wired, Forbes, and Outside, he runs a creative agency called Tin Hat Labs, and he produced his first film for POW in 2022, called Usufruct. His upcoming book, The 50 Classic Trail Runs of America, is set to be published on March 9th, 2027–a labor of love that took four years of traveling across the country, running the best ribbons of dirt he could find.
