Bill Barron
Climate Advocacy Biker
Bill Barron is a climate advocate and cyclist who uses his bike to campaign for climate solutions. He has run for office three times on a climate platform, biking across Utah to connect with voters and share his vision. He also advocates for bipartisan climate policies as the Mountain West Regional Director for Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) and the founder of CCL Utah and CCL’s national Outdoor Industry Action Team.
Bill loves cycling for its benefits to the environment, health, and community. He has done many bike tours for fun and also cycled across rural Utah to listen to local views on climate change and explore solutions. Bill has a varied background, having worked as a ski patroller, Deputy Marshall, and small business owner.
As a POW Bike ambassador, Bill uses his political skills to support POW athletes and CCL volunteers alike to look for common ground, advocate for POW & CCL policy goals, and help pass climate legislation in Congress! He also wants to inspire positive political action – like emailing your members of Congress – among outdoor lovers like you.
