Mountain Biker
I grew up in Vermont and learned to ski as soon as I could stand on my own two feet. In the Summers I road and raced mountain bikes with my dad. Alpine skiing took over as my primary sport by 8th grade, when I started school at Burke Mountain Academy to chase after my ski racing dreams. I faced a series of knee injuries that ultimately led me back to Nordic ski racing and I went on to race in college for the University of Vermont. After winning a D1 NCAA Championship title with the team my Senior year, I thought my racing days were over. I moved west, to Tahoe after college and then found myself in the San Francisco Bay Area, in my first big kid job at Strava. There, I started my career in Recruiting and at the same time was encouraged to dust off my bike. This led me to entering some local mountain bike races and trying Cyclocross for the first time. I was instantly hooked at spent my weekends making friends at the local Cross races. It was never the plan but a few years later I found myself training with a coach and working my way into the pro-level ranks and eventually traveling for UCI races. Over the past 5 years I’ve continued to grow as a bike racer and make my way to the front of Gravel, Cyclocross & Mountain Bike races at the highest level. In addition to racing my bikes, I work as a Recruiter and enjoy hanging with my dog, meeting other dogs, drinking great coffee and eating delicious food! I currently split my time between Waitsfield, Vermont and Reno, Nevada to get the best of both places.
