Natalia Grossman

Climber

Natalia Grossman is a rock climber who’s historic debut professional season has established her as one of the sport’s most exciting and promising young athletes. Marrying the physical and mental aspects of the sport through rigorous training, Natalia has quickly excelled on the competition circuit with a peerless combination of confidence, grace, strength and efficiency on the wall.

Natlia made history in her debut professional season when she became the first American climber in more than 25 years to win gold in the women’s bouldering competition at the 2021 IFSC Climbing World Championships. Natalia also earned a silver medal in the women’s lead competition, becoming the first American woman to win multiple medals at a single world championship competition. These performances come on the heels of several international and national competitions she’s won over the course of her short career, as well as a growing outdoor climbing resume in which she’s sent numerous V13s.

Beyond the drive of competition, Natalia embraces the new life experiences and world travel that the sport offers. She studies psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder online and one day hopes to become a therapist.

Natalia was born in Santa Cruz, California, and now lives in Salt Lake City where she trains at the USA Climbing’s National Team Training Center.
