We Ride for the Mountains
A film by Kurt Refsnider
After the Caldor Fire burned 222,000 acres in South Lake Tahoe, California, including 25 miles of popular mountain biking trails, POW Athlete Alliance member, Kurt Refsnider wanted to organize a trail rebuilding and educational event. The goal is to rebuild sections of burnt trail while bringing the community together to talk about sustainable trails, recreation and climate action. Refsnider also created a short film, We Ride for the Mountains, which tells the story of a changing mountain west and the resulting impacts on mountain biking and trailside communities around the globe.
