POW Missoula
Welcome to POW Missoula
POW Missoula is a home base for Montanans who care about the places we recreate. Whether you ski, fish, trail run, or just love the views, you have a seat at our table. We’re building people power for climate action by supporting local action efforts, getting clean energy on the grid, and boosting voter turnout.
Join us to connect with your community through events, advocacy trainings, and engagement opportunities that turn your love of the outdoors into action for Montana.

Join a Chapter Meeting
Stay tuned! Right now, we’re focused on growing our community, identifying local priorities, and creating opportunities for people to connect around climate advocacy. We don’t have a recurring meeting schedule nailed down just yet, but we’ll continue sharing opportunities to gather, learn, and take action as the chapter develops. Check out our events calendar for upcoming local events!
Meet Your Field Organizer
Savanna Washburn
Born and raised in Montana, Savanna has always felt at home in the region’s wide-open spaces. Like most kids who called the Rocky Mountains home, she grew up with an appetite for skiing, skinned knees, and lying about the size of the fish she caught.
Savanna holds a Master of Public Administration from Montana State University, focused on natural resource policy and non-profit management. Before joining Protect Our Winters, she worked with Forward Montana to expand civic engagement among young voters across the state. She’s passionate about connecting people to the policies that protect the places they love.
When she is not at her ‘desk’ (she works remotely), you can find her outside with a dog or two in tow, perusing a bookstore, or giggling with friends over a cider.
