POW White Mountains
Welcome to POW White Mountains
POW White Mountains is a home base for New Englanders who care about the places we recreate. Whether you ski, bike, hike, fish, run, or just love soaking up views of the rugged Presidential Range, you have a seat at our table. We’re building people power for climate action by supporting local action efforts, getting clean energy on the grid, and boosting voter turnout.
Join us to connect with your community through events, advocacy trainings, and direct engagement with policymakers, candidates, and voters that turns your love of the outdoors into action for New Hampshire.

Meet Your Field Organizer
Emily Johnson
Having grown up in rural Maine and New Hampshire, Emily feels a strong calling to protect the outdoor spaces that raised her. She graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Health & Environmental Studies and began her career as an intern for the New Hampshire Sierra Club.
She has ten years of experience managing political advocacy campaigns across New England, working for Save the Children Action Network, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, and NH Healthy Climate. She previously served on the Executive Committee of the New Hampshire Sierra Club, and is currently a board member of Mount Washington Valley Eaters & Growers, expanding access to healthy, locally-grown foods.
Emily is based in Conway, New Hampshire, with her Australian cattle dog, Pinto. When not on Zoom, you can find them in the Agiocochook (Mount Washington) Valley by bike, ski, skateboard, or foot!
